Join NASA's Digital Learning Network (DLN) as they celebrate Earth Day! Discover how the Landsat program helps scientists observe our planet Earth. Since 1972, Landsat satellites have collected information about Earth from space. These satellites have taken specialized digital photographs of Earth¹s continents and surrounding coastal regions, enabling people to study many aspects of our planet and to evaluate the dynamic changes caused by both natural processes and human practices. The live connections will link you and your students to the scientists and engineers of the Landsat program at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

With this program, NASA continues the Agency's tradition of investing in the Nation's education programs. It is directly tied to the Agency's major education goal of attracting and retaining students in STEM disciplines. To compete effectively for the minds, imaginations, and career ambitions of America's young people, NASA is focused on engaging and retaining students in STEM education programs to encourage their pursuit of educational disciplines critical to NASA's future engineering, scientific, and technical missions.

MAGPI is pleased to partner with NASA to offer MAGPI member participation in this unique event!
