MAGPI Member Schools Take Advantage of Program to be Matched with UK Schools for Class to Class Collaborations

MAGPI is pleased to partner with CLEO (Cumbria and Lancashire Education Online) and JA.NET, the UK's education and research network, on a new innovative project that is partnering MAGPI schools in the United States with UK schools for videoconference class-to-class collaborative connections.

Working together, MAGPI, CLEO and JA.NET are matching schools with collaborative interests to create and develop international projects that occur via high-speed videoconferencing.

An information session and planning interactive collaborations professional development training was held on January 25th from 10:00 AM EST to 12:00 PM EST. Fifteen participants from MAGPI Member schools met via videoconference with schools and partners in the UK. Participants learned more about the project, meet potential partners, and received training on how to develop a strategy to creating a class-to-class videoconference project as well as establishing and maintaining a successful connection.
