Date: September 8, 2006 Time: 10:00 -11:00 a.m. EDT Grades: 11-12, Higher Ed Program Description: Join schools across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for this special preview of the extraordinary Governor's Conference for Women - a day of personal and professional development with over 75 renowned speakers - to be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh on September 14, 2006. Connect with Pennsylvania First Lady, Judge Marjorie O. Rendell and Leslie Stiles, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women, for an interactive dialogue aimed to raise awareness of the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women . Also hear about other exciting initiatives benefiting women in Pennsylvania. There are two ways to get involved: as an interactive videoconference site OR as a live stream observer. The videoconference will also be streamed over Internet2 and the commodity Internet so that any school can watch the live webstream. The interactive videoconference option is open to 11th and 12th grade high school students and college/university students. Educators, librarians, and administrators are also welcome to attend. There is no need to register for the program if you'd like to observe the live stream - just see the instructions below! This program is a partnership between MAGPI and The Pennsylvania Commission for Women.
